On the evening of April 8, 2024, in Clarksville, Tennessee, 26-year-old Glenn Nicholson, a Black male, and his 30-year-old fiancée, Savannah Lumpkin, were found shot to death inside their home on Martin Street. The Clarksville Police Department responded to a shooting call at approximately 6:34 p.m. and discovered the couple, who both succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The tragic event left friends and family, including Nicholson's young daughter, in deep mourning as they pleaded for justice for the beloved couple.
The investigation into the double homicide led to a series of arrests in the following weeks. On April 12, the first suspect, 36-year-old Tristan Riley of Clarksville, was apprehended in Chicago. He faced two counts of homicide, among other charges. The search for others involved continued, and on April 24, Clarksville police arrested 20-year-old Tyson Mullins Jr., also charging him with two counts of homicide.
Further investigation led to the identification of two more individuals. A 17-year-old male from Oak Grove, Kentucky, was taken into custody on April 24 and faced juvenile petitions for homicide. The next day, 20-year-old Christopher Watkins of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, was arrested in Clarksville and also charged with two counts of criminal homicide. While four suspects are in custody, authorities have indicated that the investigation remains active and that more arrests are possible as they continue to seek information from the public.
