On April 19, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., 37-year-old Dorsey Dean Moorlet was fatally shot outside his residence at the Forest Park Apartments on Highway 70 South in Bellevue, Nashville. Moorlet had just left his apartment to go to work but returned to retrieve a forgotten item. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire, and Moorlet was found near his front door with critical injuries.
