On the evening of June 27, 2024, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the life of 37-year-old Margarette Keitoria Clark Barksdale, a Black/African American female, was tragically cut short in what authorities have described as a murder-suicide. Responding to reports of gunshots, Murfreesboro Police arrived at a townhome on Nightshade Drive around 8 p.m. to a grim discovery. Inside an upstairs bedroom, they found Margarette and her 29-year-old boyfriend, James Shannon, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
