On April 9, 2026, 26-year-old Hannah Jackson was found deceased in her Murfreesboro, Tennessee, home on Tinnell Court. The discovery was made after a man, later identified as 27-year-old David Ivy, contacted his family members, admitting to his involvement in a domestic incident. Concerned for his well-being, sheriff's deputies located Ivy at a different residence on Steelson Court, where he was reportedly threatening to harm himself. After taking him into custody, information he provided led Murfreesboro Police to Jackson's home.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Hannah Jackson's body. The investigation, led by the Murfreesboro Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit, quickly pointed to her death being a homicide. According to reports, the incident is being investigated as a case of domestic violence. Family members have stated that some of Jackson's four young children were present in the house at the time of her death.
David Ivy was subsequently arrested and is facing multiple charges, including first-degree homicide, unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a dangerous felony, and especially aggravated burglary. He is currently being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $700,000 bond. A hearing in the case has been scheduled for June 22 in General Sessions Court. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and speak with witnesses.
