On September 1, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Knox County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a reported shooting at an apartment complex on Oak Valley Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee. Upon arrival, they discovered 31-year-old John Nicholas Belcastro Jr. with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
