On March 18, 2023, 21-year-old Naim Jahace Bayete of Erie, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in the 800 block of East 21st Street. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m., following a brief confrontation between Bayete and the suspect, 29-year-old Torrance A.
