On June 3, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., 26-year-old Quran Wesley Sims was fatally shot in his first-floor apartment located in the 2900 block of French Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. Responding officers discovered Sims with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook later confirmed that Sims died from multiple gunshot wounds, ruling the death a homicide.
