On April 8, 2023, in West Philadelphia, a dispute over a parking spot between neighbors escalated into a fatal shooting. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on the 1400 block of North 54th Street, where 50-year-old Nevaughn Beasley was attempting to park his red SUV. His neighbor, 29-year-old Rasheed Morrison, approached Beasley's vehicle, leading to a heated argument.
