Glenda Tornes, aged 42, tragically lost her life on April 24, 1996, in Jackson, Mississippi. Her death was part of a horrific sequence of events that culminated in a mass shooting at a firehouse. Early that morning, Glenda was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Kenneth Tornes, at their home. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and later saw Kenneth washing blood off himself in the carport. When police arrived, they discovered Glenda's body with a gunshot wound to the forehead.
