On a chaotic Memorial Day evening in Philadelphia, what began as a festive gathering in Fairmount Park ended in a hail of bullets, leaving two young people dead, including 21-year-old Mikhail Bowers. The Black male was one of hundreds of people enjoying the holiday on May 26, 2025, when gunfire erupted at approximately 10:30 p.m. near the historic Lemon Hill mansion.
