On the evening of May 19, 2023, 43-year-old Adinson Suarez-Marte was fatally shot inside a barbershop located on the 3000 block of Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood. Responding to reports of a shooting around 7:30 p.m., police found Suarez-Marte with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument that escalated inside the barbershop. Witnesses reported seeing as many as eight men, dressed in dark clothing and masks, fleeing the scene immediately after the incident. Despite these leads, no arrests have been made, and no weapons were recovered from the scene.
The Philadelphia Police Department continues to seek information from the public to identify the individuals involved in Suarez-Marte's death. As of now, the case remains unsolved, and authorities urge anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
