On May 29, 2023, Jenna Christine Smith, 28, and her husband, Jacob Christian Smith, 31, were found deceased at the Perry Highway park and ride in Muddy Creek Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the chest area. The Butler County Coroner's Office confirmed the cause of death as homicide.
