On July 3, 2023, 29-year-old Dymir Stanton was tragically killed in a mass shooting in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood. The incident, which occurred around 8:30 p.m., resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including Stanton, and injuries to several others. The shooter, identified as 40-year-old Kimbrady Carriker, was apprehended by police shortly after the rampage.
