On July 14, 2023, the body of 44-year-old Daryl Vincent Lee Jr. was discovered along Route 403 in East Wheatfield Township, near the Indiana and Cambria County line in Pennsylvania. An autopsy determined that Lee had died from a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
