On July 21, 2023, 44-year-old Ellis C. Garman Sr. was fatally shot in Reading, Pennsylvania. At approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting near South 6th and Cherry Streets, where they found Garman in his vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Reading Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
