Melvyn C.C. Frazier Jr., 21, a Black male, was fatally shot in the early hours of June 22, 2025, in Reading, Pennsylvania. Police were called to the 1200 block of Oak Lane around 5 a.m.; Frazier was rushed to Tower Health Reading Hospital, where he died of his injuries. He had traveled from Lynchburg, Virginia, and was staying in Reading for the summer with his aunt; relatives later shared that he had been out that night before the shooting.
