On September 7, 2023, 80-year-old Rose Goodman was found fatally shot in her Southwest Philadelphia home on the 5700 block of Broomall Street. Authorities responded to a welfare check around 9:49 p.m., discovering Goodman in her bedroom with a gunshot wound to the chest; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
