On the night of September 11, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Pittsburgh's Hill District, resulting in the deaths of 43-year-old Dean Marbury and 37-year-old Jawan Montae Palmer. The incident took place around 11 p.m. on Webster Avenue, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found Marbury with gunshot wounds to the head and neck; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
