On September 22, 2023, at approximately 4 a.m., a tragic shooting occurred at Oakhurst Homes in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Emerald H. Nugent Jr. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees confirmed that Nugent died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
