On November 24, 2023, at approximately 2:42 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 5600 block of Kingsessing Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Jason Dixon, a 45-year-old Army veteran, lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds, including a critical injury to his face. Officers immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
