Tahjae Brooks, a 21-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was killed on Monday night, December 5, 2022, after gunfire broke out in West Philadelphia. Police responded at about 9:20 p.m. to the 4300 block of Parrish Street, where they found Brooks lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was still alive when first responders reached him, and he was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
