On January 25, 2024, at approximately 7:48 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call on the 4900 block of North Smedley Street, where they discovered 25-year-old Shaheed E. Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt arrival of medical personnel, Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene.
