On February 12, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Pittsburgh police responded to a reported shooting in the 2300 block of Lucina Avenue, situated near the border of the Overbrook and Carrick neighborhoods. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old Adam Koné with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital in grave condition and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
