On April 17, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Harrisburg Police responded to reports of gunfire near Evergreen and Thompson Streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered 43-year-old Dewayne Brown, a resident of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. The Dauphin County Coroner's Office later confirmed the cause of death as homicide.
