On June 19, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 5900 block of Chester Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Akeem S. Hayden lying in the street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The officers immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
