On the night of February 29, 2024, Philadelphia police responded to a distress call near the historic Mount Pleasant Mansion in Fairmount Park. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless bodies of 49-year-old Thurston Cooper and 38-year-old Krystina Chambers lying side by side near the roadway.
