In the Oxford Circle neighborhood of Philadelphia, a bright summer afternoon was shattered by a hail of gunfire that ended the life of 16-year-old Jamil Wyatt. On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at approximately 4:04 p.m., the young Black male was walking to a store when he was ambushed in a rear driveway on the 1200 block of Van Kirk Street. The attack was sudden and brutal, with police later describing it as an 'execution-style' homicide.
