In the late summer of 2024, a sense of unease settled over a quiet neighborhood in Salisbury Township, Pennsylvania. The concern began when family members were unable to reach 65-year-old Richard A. Costello. This worry prompted them to contact the police and request a welfare check on August 2, 2024. Responding officers made a grim discovery inside his home.
