On January 22, 2023, at approximately 12:52 p.m., Lexington Police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Winston Road and U.S. 29-70 in Lexington, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire in the roadway. Shortly thereafter, Lexington Medical Center notified authorities that two individuals had arrived with gunshot wounds.
