On January 22, 2023, at approximately 12:52 p.m., Lexington Police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Winston Road and U.S. 29-70 in Lexington, North Carolina. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire in the roadway. Shortly thereafter, Lexington Medical Center notified authorities that two individuals had arrived with gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as 25-year-old Shantae D. McCauley and 34-year-old Dustin Archie. McCauley was in critical condit ...
