On January 25, 2023, at approximately 11:35 p.m., 20-year-old Namir Miguel Seabrook was fatally shot in front of his residence on the 2600 block of Stockton Street in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Responding to reports of gunfire, police arrived at the scene to find evidence of a shooting but no victim present. Shortly thereafter, they were informed that Seabrook had been transported by family members to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Seabrook was standing outside his home when an unknown individual or individuals began shooting. At the time, no motive or suspect information was available, and the case remained under active investigation.
As of December 24, 2024, there have been no publicly reported arrests or identification of suspects in connection with Seabrook's death. The Winston-Salem Police Department continues to seek information from the public to aid in solving this case.
