On October 29, 2024, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Winston-Salem police responded to a reported shooting at 420 Eldora Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Barry DeShawn Jones with a gunshot wound to the upper chest. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Jones succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
