These billboards, donated by Lamar Advertising, included a message stating “You Know Who Killed Us!” and provided a tip line for anyone with information to come forward. The BCSO selected this case for the billboard campaign due to its potential for solvability, despite the initial lack of scientific evidence at the time of the crime.
As of the current date, there have been no reported arrests or identified suspects directly linked to the murder of Eddie and Lisa Guerrero. The case remains unsolved, and investigators continue to rely on public tips and advancements in forensic technology to reevaluate and potentially uncover new evidence. The BCSO Cold Case Unit, led by detectives such as Kathleen Esparsen and Sgt. John Allen, has emphasized the importance of community involvement and the retesting of existing evidence using modern techniques like DNA extraction and ballistic testing.
