On January 29, 2023, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) responded to reports of a body found near Choyce Avenue in southwest Charlotte. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased body of 29-year-old Osvin Adonay Alevar Solis, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
