On March 29, 2024, 17-year-old Fate Brannon was fatally shot while working at a Jack in the Box restaurant on North Hoskins Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when two masked individuals entered the establishment and confronted Brannon. After a brief interaction, Brannon was shot in the chest, and the assailants fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Brannon dead at the scene.
