On May 29, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Fayetteville police responded to a shooting incident in the 400 block of Lynn Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 45-year-old Carlos Lesean Brown suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Brown was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
