Tyrone Alonzo Shepard, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on September 9, 2014, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Shepard was walking home on Callahan Circle around 9 p.m. when two men exited a vehicle and attempted to rob him. When Shepard resisted, he was shot multiple times. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
