On February 4, 2023, 19-year-old Tazion Baines was fatally shot in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Paul Street, where officers responded to reports of gunfire and found Baines suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
