On September 14, 2023, at approximately 10:22 p.m., the Harnett County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a vehicle crash in a field near 1631 Main Street in Lillington, North Carolina. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a burgundy Nissan Armada with two deceased occupants, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as 30-year-old Deshawn Rico Martin of Angier and 34-year-old Rodriguez Antonio McNeill of Bunnlevel.
