Gerold McEachin Jr., a 36-year-old man from Lillington, NC, tragically died on October 9, 2018. The Harnett County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 2505 Ridge Run around 8:30 p.m. that evening and found McEachin Jr. dead from a gunshot wound. The suspect, identified as Christopher Chance, 33, was present at the scene and was known to McEachin Jr. through another family member. Chance was cooperating with authorities, and the investigation was ongoing at the time.
