Alma Isabel Correa Portillo, 17, and Jarell Donte Ballentine, 18, also from Angier, were similarly charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery. All four suspects were held at the Harnett County Detention Center without bond.
The investigation revealed that no additional persons were believed to have been present at the time of the murder.
