In the quiet community of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, the life of 47-year-old Lisa Sullivan was tragically cut short on the evening of February 5, 2015. Her death was the result of a violent altercation within her own home on Moss Branch Road. Investigations by the Hickman County Sheriff's Office would later reveal a history of domestic turmoil that culminated in this fatal event.

On that Thursday evening, a witness inside the Sullivan residence fled to a neighbor's house to call for help as the situation escalated. By the time law enforcement arrived at the scene around 8 p.m., they found both Lisa and her 49-year-old husband, Charles Sullivan Jr., deceased. The investigation concluded that Charles Sullivan Jr. fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself in a murder-suicide.

In the wake of the tragedy, the community was left to grapple with the devastating impact of domestic violence. Autopsies were conducted to confirm the cause of death for both individuals. As the perpetrator, Charles Sullivan Jr., was also deceased, no arrests were made in connection with Lisa Sullivan's murder. She was mourned by her family, including her mother, Betty Oliphant Knight.
