On October 26, 2023, at approximately 12:41 a.m., Sampson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call reporting multiple bodies at a residence located at 10310 Garland Highway, about 10 miles south of Clinton, North Carolina. Upon arrival, deputies discovered five individuals, including 58-year-old Lamar Williams of Rose Hill, all deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
