On April 29, 2023, at approximately 11:53 p.m., Clinton Police Department officers responded to a report of gunfire near the intersection of Sampson and Faison Streets in Clinton, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered two brothers, James and Sergio Gamino, suffering from gunshot wounds. James, 30, was found lying in the driveway at 303 Sampson Street, while Sergio, 27, was located on the porch of 315 Sampson Street.
