Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle with visible gunshot damage. Inside, 21-year-old Tydrain "Ty" Jaquan Huff was found critically injured from a gunshot wound.
Another occupant, identified as Brantaveon Parker, had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and had already been transported to the hospital by private vehicle before law enforcement arrived.
Huff was immediately transported to ECU Medical Health Center in Greenville, North Carolina, where he succumbed to his injuries on December 23, 2023, at 4:54 a.m. Born on October 7, 2002, Tydrain was remembered by family and friends for his vibrant energy and infectious laughter.
