On March 21, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., deputies from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence on Crystal Lane in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Jonathan Wayne Yancey deceased inside the home from a single gunshot wound.
