Deonte Lamar Phifer, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 2, 2019, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Deonte was born on January 30, 1989, and was a resident of Kannapolis at the time of his death. He was educated in the Kannapolis City School System and attended A. L. Brown High School. Deonte was found dead from gunshot wounds at his home on Leroy Street. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on that fateful Saturday.
