Death by Force

On April 5, 2024, at approximately 10:59 a.m., Laurinburg Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call near Phritz Street. While on scene, they heard gunshots from the vicinity of Alexander Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19-year-old Ameer Eugene Harris lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported by Scotland County EMS to Scotland Memorial Hospital for medical attention.
