On April 15, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 24-year-old Ty'Quel Martez Alston was fatally shot during an altercation in the 1800 block of Julia Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina. Alston, a resident of Daffodil Drive, was shot at close range in the yard of a residence. He was transported to Maria Parham Health in Henderson, where he succumbed to his injuries.
