On April 15, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 24-year-old Ty'Quel Martez Alston was fatally shot during an altercation in the 1800 block of Julia Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina. Alston, a resident of Daffodil Drive, was shot at close range in the yard of a residence. He was transported to Maria Parham Health in Henderson, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation, the Henderson Police Department identified 28-year-old Antarious Tebron Harrington of Barclay Lane as the suspect in Alston's murder. At the time of the incident, Harrington was out on pre-trial release for felony drug charges. An arrest warrant was issued for Harrington, charging him with the murder of Ty'Quel Alston. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding Harrington's whereabouts to contact Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers or the Henderson Police Department.
