A late-night meeting on June 13, 2026, in Henderson, North Carolina, ended in a fatal exchange of gunfire that claimed the life of 15-year-old Manny Escobedo. Just before midnight, officers from the Henderson Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Rose Street and South William Street after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.
