On October 13, 2020, Willard Dement Jr., a 38-year-old male, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Henderson, North Carolina. The Vance County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about multiple shots fired at the intersection of David and Main streets around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found Willard Dement Jr. deceased, along with two other victims, Misty Boyd, a 42-year-old woman, and a juvenile girl.
